The Planning Board is responsible for preparing long range plans to guide the future growth and development of the Town. The Board is the Special Permit Granting Authority for land uses that require a special permit as designated by the Zoning Bylaw. The Board is also reposnsible for reviewing Approval Not Required Plans and for approving definitive subdivision plans.
Meetings are generally held on the second and fourth Wednesdays in the Shepherd Municipal Building at 6:00 PM. Applicants who wish to be placed on the agenda should call the Planning Board Secretary at the number listed above.
